Update:  Situation matched

Expectant mom, A,  is experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and has contacted Act of Love to assist her in making an adoption plan for her baby boy that is due around July 8, 2016. A has requested that Act of Love help her to find an adoptive family for her baby boy.  She is seeking an adoptive family that is unable to have children biologically.  A has expressed that she is interested in an open adoption.  She is requesting to meet the adoptive family and would like her post-adoption contact to include exchanging pictures and letters.  A reports herself as a Hispanic woman and the birth father as a Caucasian man.   Her situation is requiring assistance from the adoptive family for her living and care.

A reports that she currently has Medicaid and is receiving prenatal care and taking prenatal vitamins.  She states that she is healthy and has not experienced any major injury, illness, medical problem or developmental problem during her life.  A reports that she has two other children and that both of her previous pregnancies were healthy and babies were born vaginally.  Non-identifying social and health information along with available medical records will be accessible to approved families with Act of Love.  Act of Love can not guarantee the Medicaid she currently has will cover all of the medical costs and adoptive family would be responsible for any remaining costs.

Medical reports for any positive drug testing will be shared with approved families through Act of Love.  A denies the use of  any alcohol during pregnancy and admits to smoking an e-cigarette during her pregnancy and smoking regular cigarettes previous to this pregnancy.

A is planning to review profiles as soon as they become available.  To get started quickly and have your profile considered by A, please visit the Outreach page located on the website under the Adoptive Family tab on the Act of Love website.  This page will help walk you through the steps and provide instructions for approval in the AOL Outreach Program. Questions can either be directed to the outreach@aactofloveadoptions.com email or by calling our office. Do not hesitate to call our staff with questions.  Please note that adoptive parents will need to have an approved home study that is current within one year.

Our staff is available Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. MST at 1-888-767-7740 or 801-572-1696 to answer questions and help get you pre-qualified to adopt with Act of Love.  It would be our pleasure to address your adoption needs. All Act of Love situations are presented to full-service adoptive families prior to presenting to Outreach adoptive families.

Act of Love Adoptions is also happy to offer individual services to families and birth parents interested in completing an adoption, as well as agency assist and full adoption services. A free Adoption Orientation is offered, on the first Tuesday of every month beginning at 7:00 p.m.  AOL will hold another Adoption Orientation on May 3, 2016 beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Sandy offices. Please call and RSVP, if possible. The orientation offers a casual setting designed to provide educational information to adoptive families considering adoption along with information to experience a successful adoption before, during and after placement. Birth parents and adoptive families will be available to answer questions and share their stories. Call 801-572-1696 to receive further information on the orientation or to schedule a free, private informational appointment. AOL looks forward to being able to support you with your adoption needs.
