This situation is for expectant mom, L.K., who is making an adoption plan for her Hispanic baby due around the middle of November that may become available in the Outreach Program.  L.K. is currently in the hospital and dilated to 5 cm.   She has requested that Act of Love assist her in searching for a local, Utah adoptive family that is looking for an open adoption.  L.K. prefers the adoptive family to be Christian and wants to have continued post-adoption contact with the adoptive family through social media, letters and pictures, as well as visits.

L.K. reports that she has not had any prenatal care and the gender of the baby will be known at birth.  By her report, she states that she does not smoke, drink alcohol or use any other substances.  She is currently working on becoming Medicaid approved.

Available medical records and further non-identifying information and social health history will be made accessible to approved Outreach families that are interested in being considered for this potential adoption situation.  To become an approved Outreach adoptive family and to receive further information regarding L.K’s situation, please contact Act of Love immediately at outreach@aactofloveadoptions.comTo get started, adoptive families can request an adoption packet from the Act of Love website at www.aactofloveadoptions.com and/or contact Act of Love at outreach@aactofloveadoptions.com.

Adoptive families that are home study ready and are interested in this situation, should complete the (6 pg) Application for Services in the adoption packet and be prepared to provide an approved home study and supporting documents to the home study.  Adoptive family will also need to have a PDF of their adoption profile ready to be presented to L.K.  A complete outline of Outreach Program can also be found on the website under the Adoptive Family Outreach tab.  Application and approval in the Outreach Program DOES NOT require any fees or obligation until match.  All fees will be due at the time of match.
