About Kathy Kunkel, the founder and C.E.O of Act of Love Adoptions:
My name is Kathy Kunkel. I am the founder and director of A Act of Love Adoptions. There will always be a place in my heart for birthparents. Adoption is a true Act of Love. It is through adoption that my family was made possible. My husband and I have been married for 33 years. We have ten beautiful children; eight of whom are adopted. Our family is also blessed with six grandchildren (four of the six are adopted).

During the course of our adoptions, I had the opportunity to meet and form friendships with many birth parents. They were gracious enough to share their stories with us, and to express to me what they wished had been available in an adoption agency when they needed help with their adoption plan. Birth parents need a comfortable, warm environment with people they can trust. Because of the love and understanding that I feel for birth parents and the dedication in my heart for adoption I opened the doors of A Act of Love Adoptions in 1993. We work hard to make our agency the kind of place where people feel welcome and appreciated.

As a birth parent at A Act of Love, you have the opportunity to select an adoption plan that works best for you. We feel you can make the best decision for the placement of your precious child by being informed about your options. Our staff is very warm, loving, and supportive. Each person will "go the extra mile" to support you in your decision. The staff consists of birth parents, adoptive parents, adoptees, and professionals with extensive experience in adoption. We all love each other like family and welcome you with open arms. We extend our love and support to you.
